About Me
I am currently Assistant Director, STEM Education at the Council on Science and Technology at Princeton University.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley, and my PhD in Biology from Duke University. More recently, I was a SPIRE (Seeding Postdoctoral Innovators in Research and Education) postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As part of the SPIRE program, I also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at UNC Pembroke, teaching Principles of Biology and Molecular Ecology, a class I designed specifically for UNCP.
I am broadly interested in ecology and evolution, especially the role the environment plays in shaping the natural history of organisms. My research has focused on island biogeography, the 'island rule', and more recently, the epigenetic mechanisms underlying phenotypic plasticity.
